Andy Ernst, Bob King, and Nancy Middleton - the co-founders and leadership team of AdviStor – have several decades of industry experience among them and have worked together since 1991. They founded AdviStor in 2002 to create an IT company where the relationship with the customer comes first, and excellence in customer service and expert advice in storage come together.

Andrew J. Ernst
During his 16 years of experience in the data storage industry, Andy has held a variety of sales and sales management positions. Andy’s organizational, management, and sales skills have helped AdviStor attain double-digit annual growth since its inception. His current focus on company operations provides an efficient, functional base that elevates the effectiveness of the entire AdviStor team.

As a lifelong resident of Upstate New York, Andy enjoys spending time in the Finger Lakes. Andy also enjoys playing competitive basketball and volleyball. He serves on the Board of Trustees at The United Church of Pittsford.

Andy earned a bachelors degree from the University of Richmond.

Bob King
Bob creates strong relationships with vendors who offer the best-of-breed products in the data storage and backup industry. His twenty-six years of industry experience helps sustain AdviStor’s edge in technical knowledge, research, and solution development as well as excellent vendor support. He also establishes company sales strategies and manages the AdviStor sales force, focusing on helping them maximize their potential.

Bob founded Applied Digital Systems, another data storage company, in 1984. ADS was acquired by StorNet in 2000 where he served as vice president until deciding to become a co-founder of AdviStor in 2002.

Bob is an avid golfer and tennis player.

Bob graduated with a bachelors degree from St. Bonaventure University and is a member of the St. Bonaventure University Board of Trustees.

Nancy Middleton
In her 21 years of experience with IT companies – and as a director with the YMCA before that – Nancy has always been a strong advocate for customer loyalty and employee loyalty. Her focus on customer needs and her detailed follow-through contribute significantly to long-term AdviStor client relationships. Nancy remains active in sales and is responsible for marketing and employee development.

Growing up in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, Nancy spends as much time at the lake as she can. She is an active volunteer in the community, serving on a number of boards and committees. Nancy enjoys life with her busy family.

Nancy earned a bachelors degree from Ithaca College.
